AudioQueue Tools with 4 Channels

  • Subject: AudioQueue Tools with 4 Channels

Hello All,
I just bought an M-Audio Fast Track Ultra which provides USB audio on 8 channels. I can access the device using the Audacity program and so I know that it will record on all 8 channels. I have tried to access it more directly using the AudioQueue Tools program aqrecord invoked like this:

aqrecord -v -s 5 -c 4 -d lpcm mm.wav

The result is a wav file with data in the first two channels, but not in the last two (just all zeros). Is the aqrecord program inherently a stereo system?

Any Help THanks
Matt
