It's enabled whenever the microphone is used and the preference option has been selected.
Oki, the internal mic is not really an option for my appl. anyway so that won't be a problem.
Though I'm not 100% sure, I had a report that this effect was noticeable on an external USB microphone as well, that would be possible, wouldn't it ?
Not possible if the device is class compliant (ie. it is using the AppleUSBAudio driver).
Yes, what we're using is class compliant (i.e. uses no other driver than the default), so that's good to know, thanx!
