If I wasn't under an NDA with both of them, I could tell you of 2
companies who have found that it the OS X version does not behave
identically to the non-OS X version, and that the gap in behaviour
effectively breaks the API. One of them reverted to using the non-OS X
version on OS X to avoid altering their code specifically for OS X.

What I'd like to be able to tell you is which version of OS X they
were using, and unfortunately, I don't know that. Its possible that
this is solved in some later release of OS X.
