What does mean pow5 in SinSynth?

Hello,

In the Sine Synth example, you have this :
pow5(sin(phase))

What does mean "pow5"?? It is not a power like function (like 2^2 = 4), I do not find nothing in the documentation or in the headers.

I wanted also to create detunes doing 
out = sin(phase) + sin(phase*1.05)
but it does not work. Would someone understand why?
