Thanks for the tip... sometimes i wish it was all done in code, because the whole IB world makes it hard to see what is going on.

Is this correct :
the .xib file's owner should be the "viewFactory" class and should connect to the CocoaView via the "uiFreshlyLoadedView" outlet?

I can't seem to get that outlet to appear in my .xib 'file's owner' window, though I've copied all of the relevant looking info from the template.

I realize these are newbie questions, thanks for helping me despite this!
