User-land CoreAudio driver timing problem

  • Subject: User-land CoreAudio driver timing problem

Hi,

Our user-land CoreAudio driver does not work properly when used with Flash video under Safari (for instance). The main symptom is that the video plays too fast with chopped sound until the video reach it's end and the sound continues normally. Since the Apple SampleHardwarePlugIn example seems to behave properly (at least the video plays at the right speed...) the problem seems to be in our code.

We tried to debug and see if Flash plug-ins calls some timing related functions like StartIOEngineAtTime, GetCurrentTime, SafeGetCurrentTime, TranslateTime, GetNearestStartTime but this is not the case.

So we don't have anymore clues of what could be the problem... hopping Jeff Moore could have an idea.

Thanks in advance.

Stephane Letz
