Hi all,
I'm noticing some strange behavior with the
OverrideCategoryEnableBluetoothInput override for the PlayAndRecord
audio session category. It seems that if I connect a (mono) Bluetooth
headset and then connect a pair of headphones or an FM transmitter to
the dock port, the Bluetooth input override setting has not effect - the
previous audio route is still used. However, if the BT headset is
connected *after* connecting a pair of headphones or a lineout
accessory, the BT headset is used as the audio route. Furthermore, I can
toggle whether the Bluetooth audio route is used by alternately
setting/disabling the override. In the first case, toggling does not work.
I was wondering if anyone has observed this behavior, and whether this
might be the intended behavior on iOS devices. I know that the last
connected device is the preferred device when choosing an audio route,
but the documentation leads me to conclude that one should always be
able to select a Bluetooth headset as the audio route.
Thanks,
Zach
