Audio unit metering value in iOS

Hi,
I want to display the metering level in my application. I have seen sample code to get the metering level using AudioQueueGetProperty with kAudioQueueProprty_CurrentMeterLevel property. I don't know what is the equivalent api in AudioUnit.

I have used AudioUnitGetParameter with "kMultiChannelMixerParam_PostAveragePower" parameter. But i was always getting -120.0000 as output. I am not sure whether I am going in right direction.

Any help is highly appreciated.

Thanks
Sasikumar JP
