It's definitely a problem – sometimes you need to be reminded of some obscure thing that you know you saw on the lists a year or two back, and getting the 'sorry, we're down' message is a real bummer.

Though, maybe the upside is that Stack Overflow will get some much needed posts about Core Audio.

I don't know how urgent is urgent but I did try contacting the postmaster, got a "please confirm you would like to be removed from the mailing list" email in response. Audio is fiddly stuff, I don't think the level of documentation that is required to cover every use case will ever be there so the list archives are sometimes the only other alternative. I don't want to get abusive or angry about it but I would just like it to be known that I for one am very frustrated by the apparent lack of concern for developers.

Unfortunately the archives are currently disabled.   I don't currently have an estimate of when they'll return.
As the site indicates, if you require urgent access to the archives, please contact email@hidden with the subject "ARCHIVES".

Can we get some information about the state of the mailing list archives. When navigating to old posts I get

"Archives are currently disabled. If you require urgent access to the Archives, please contact email@hidden with the subject "ARCHIVES"."

or sometimes what looks like a http GET error.

The archives are kind of useful, when are they going to be back up?
