Handling MIDI setup notification

  • Subject: Handling MIDI setup notification

Hi,

I have to create an additional thread and use CFRunLoopRun() in it, when using MIDIClientCreate with an explicit NotifyProc (to be notified when the MIDI setup changes).

It there a simpler way to be notified when the MIDI setup changes? That is *not having* to create this explicit additional thread, and have CoreMidi call the NotifyProc for the application? (in some sense quite similar to what is done in an audio application when all Listeners are automatically called by an hidden CoreAudio thread...)

Thank in advance.
