i'm only a host developer and generally find apple's documentation for
host development to be woefully absent. however, given the dominance
of logic on OS X, you be assured that this document is the best guide
for what hosts should expect that apple has yet produced (or that i
have seen). it could be worth your while considering their
recommendations for your plugin.
