Just realized you said you were on Xcode 3. The "build phases" I talked about is for Xcode 4. For Xcode 3, I think you just need to right click on the project file list, do "add existing framework", and choose CoreMIDI.framework.

Expand the "link binary to libraries" list and use the "+" button to add CoreMIDI.framework.
