even though I'm not certain if Apple implements the recovery
on the receive-side in the driver (never have tested this),
I know that they produce the recovery-journal in the packets
they send to the network (I should know since I implemented
the RTP-MIDI dissector for Wireshark and used the info sent
by my Mac to test the implementation ;-)
I do seem to recall that this does not encompass all parts of
the journal though - specifically the Sysex portion is not
supported if remember correctly...
