AudioConverter Dithering

Hi,

I'm trying to use the new dithering options that seem to be included in Lion's audio converter
Whenever I try to set kAudioConverterPropertyDithering on my AudioConverterRef, I get back "op??". The audio converter is setup to convert linear PCM from one bit depth to another. I've also tried converting using a no-op converter where the input and output formats are the same, just trying to add dither, with the same result.

How are the dithering functions supposed to work?
