Yes, the templates seem to have gotten pulled with the release of Lion... I think the double whammy was: new template format for Xcode 4, followed by the AU changes with Lion... not sure why they haven't resurfaced yet, but there is a way to restore them yourself... I'm actually inches away from finishing up a blog post on how to do it... in a nutshell, you need copies of the AU templates in the new Xcode format (which can be gotten, I believe, from any of the Snow Leopard Xcode 4 distros, but hell, I'll send you copies myself if need be)... these then need to be updated for Lion (per Apple's tech note)... there are some nice improvements you can make along the way as well...
If you can wait a few days, I hope to have this online very soon... if you can't, shoot me an email and i'll try to outline in more detail...

Have been using Xcode 3.1.4, but want to upgrade. So I downloaded Xcode 4.3.1 and installed on Lion. Pulled up the "new project" dialog, and there are very few templates. Including none at all for Audio Units. Is there a separate download?
Thanks
