audiograph timeline

Hi,

Is there a way to obtain a continuous sample accurate timeline for a running audiograph? I have been attempting to get sample-locked audio file playback with a fileplayer AU in an audiograph. For my application to work, the fileplayer has to be reset and new fileregions scheduled while the audiograph is running.

On the reset call msampletime (derived from the fileplayer's kAudioUnitProperty_CurrentPlayTime) is also reset, as is the timestamp from the mixer output unit. This is a free standing application, so there is no host time to work with.

I need to have an un-interupted time reference. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,

Robert Carroll
