kAudioUnitType_FormatConverter AAC -> PCM

Hi,

If I have AAC data already loaded in a ring buffer can I use Audio Units, specifically kAudioUnitType_FormatConverter, to turn this them into PCM data?  I need to take advantage of the hardware decoder.  I'm certain I'm able to do this with AudioQueueServices, but I would like to have access to the sample data/other audio units.

Best,
Rob
