Audio is the bastard child of media. It's amazing how many so-called
professional programmers don't even understand what a waveform is or
how it's encoded.
That said, Apple bought Logic, so they are kind of in competition with
those they're supposed to support now. We don't see any questions from
the Logic team in here, do we?
So I don't know what to think. But as someone who's fairly new to the
Apple programming world and used to Microsoft (who, whatever you think
of them, you have to admit they know how to document and maintain
consistent style) I'm constantly appalled by the state of things and
would like to throw in another "vote" for some better support
materials for the audio development community.
