I couldn't agree more. Whoever is doing the Apple documentation (if
there is such a person) they're doing a pretty bad job. Also, I
haven't seen a single message from Bill or the other CoreAudio guys
for weeks here. Not sure what this means, I'm guessing they're busy
developing new stuff (which is great).
Still, let's not forget that WE ARE THE ECOSYSTEM that helps Apple to
make good money (both in the AppStore/iTunes as well as by making
people actually buy their hardware) so treating us like this doesn't
seem fair (nor profitable).

I don't think that is true. I have a 2008 MacPro that runs ML just fine.

HAHA, you wish :-) No. AOL (who owned Netscape at the time) used the
money to pay off part of its debt and AOL gained the right to use IE
without paying royalties. So actually, it made matters worse.
But who knows, maybe today things would be different :-)
