peak limiter

I'm looking for suggestions to implement a soft peak limiter between the mixer and output units of my audiograph.

Ideally, something that would work like the Waves L1 limiter: -3db threshold, then compression up to a hard limit at -1.5db for example.

It seems that the AUPeakLimiter cannot have the peak limit set lower than 0 db. Maybe a combination of the AUDynamicsProcessor followed by the limiter would

be close to what I'm looking for.

Has anyone found a better/more efficient solution?
