AUSampler supports portamento if you build the instrument using EXS24 in Logic.  As far as I can tell (and I've been sniffing around a lot lately) you can't do it any other way.

However, if you first load an EXS24 instrument with portamento and then load a "regular" AUSampler instrument, AUSampler will continue to have portamento ... not recommended obviously.... but there it is.

It might be interesting to load an EXS24 instrument into AUSampler and then re-save it as an aupreset to see if there is some extra field in the plist... but I haven't tried that.
