Hello, all …
I'm experiencing a couple of issues -- though only in the iOS simulator and only on some machines -- ever since installing the iOS 6.1 SDK:
1. In the 6.1 iOS Simulator, AudioQueueSetProperty() with kAudioQueueProperty_MagicCookie causes crash, even though the audio queue and cookie data seem to be both fine
2. In the 5.1 iOS Simulator, the app doesn't start at all (the last message in the console window says something about not being able to find a __CfObj symbol in AudioHAL.kext -- sorry, the machines that exhibit this are at home right now)
These weren't issues before Xcode 4.6. Furthermore, they only appear on 2 Macs I have (17" 2.4ghz quad i7 MBP and 11" 1.8ghz i7 MacBook Air, both running 10.8.2), and they _don't_ appear on a 2.4ghz quad-i7 retina MBP also running 10.8.2. The 17" and 11" Macs have third-party audio drivers on them (Yamaha Steinberg Firewire driver for a Yamaha Motif XS synth, Access Virus TI USB audio driver) while the retina MBP does not.
Also, on the devices themselves, the apps continue to work fine, though i'd hate to lose the use of the iOS simulator for a lot of things. Thoughts?
Regards,
John
