Overrinding USB Audio Properties

Hi!
I would like to build a kext who change a stereo USB audio Device into a 7.1 device (or 5.1 ...)

The aim of this project is just to add "ghost" stems to the audio device ... If you send some buffers to channel 3,4,5,6 ... nothing gonna happen. Of course, the chip of the USB device is still stereo.

I think about using the SampleUSBAudioOverrideDriver sample code, but it seems to change only the name of the device ...
Is it possible to change the stream format of an USB device just by using a codless kext?

Or, ... is it just possible to change the stream format of an USB device?

Thanks for your answers!
