AUGraph no sound with interleaved format

I posted a question about how to get non-interleaved format with an AUConverter. (Talking about Mac not iOS)

Well I think I got that. My Graph looks like that:
HALInput->AUConverter->Matrixmixer->Matrixmixer->AUConvter->HALOutput

The converters have the job to get on the input stream format the asbd from the input and the one before output to have the output asbd.

The converters should convert my audio interleaved->non-interleaved---my audio units, matrix mixer etc->convert it back to interleaved for the hardware interface.

Well I think they are doing their job, and those formats after the first AUConverter are indeed non-interleaved.
Looked at CAShow(graph) and all looks okay.

Now audio passes through if my hardware interface is already non-interleaved but there is no sound if the hardware format is interleaved. Even with those converters in the chain to convert it to non-interleaved.

Any tips or ideas whats up with that?

Thanks
-Benjamin
