Will ObjC-based CoreAudio AudioSession API deprecate the C API?

  • Subject: Will ObjC-based CoreAudio AudioSession API deprecate the C API?

Yesterday there was a question about remote-control and I saw Douglas mentioned:

"but I strongly urge you switch to using AVAudioSession because it is the API we actively support going forward"

If I understand correctly, AVAudioSession is an ObjC class and this implies that the audio session C API would be deprecated in the future. Is that correct? What about other parts of CoreAudio?

Thanks!
Beinan
