If you are talking about modifying the look of the Airplay icon on the
volume controller, you should be asking the question in the cocoa-dev
list

As far as audio applications go, the OS handles streaming over airplay
automatically for you when the user selects it. You can detect when
this route change occurs with the appropriate CoreAudio callbacks. See
