I have a sandbox'd app that hosts AU and VST plugins on the App Store (Audio Plugin Player,
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/audio-plugin-player/id489844081 ). Several users are reporting problems with some plugins either not loading, or reverting to demo mode. I don't own several of the plugins, but as best as I can see on my end, the plugins are trying to access an authorization file somewhere on the file system, and are being denied because of sandbox restrictions.
I have granted my app the com.apple.security.temporary-exception.audio-unit-host entitlement, so in theory, I would expect non-sandbox'd plugins to still be able to get to files they need to authenticate properly.
Any ideas? A perhaps important detail is that my app is built using Cycling 74's Max...
Thanks,
Dan
