Thanks for your reply.
This is a bit surreal, but by the time I wrote to this list I have turned on the soundcard and the problem was still audible. I left the soundcard on.
In the mean while I have exchanged a couple of emails with Mike and didn't get to any conclusion.
I started doing other stuff, I went to youtube, played a video, and the sound was getting out right. I tried in iTunes and the sound was coming out right.
I waited for today to see if it comes out right, and it does indeed. I have tried once again in Ableton Live. Everything perfect!
Well, I really don't know what happened or what has changed, but it is working perfectly now.
I will continue my normal usage and if it happens again I will report it here, possibly with a video link.
