Subject: Hosting 'aumi' Midi Effect Audio Units
Hello,
As for OSX 10.9 there is a new Audio Units format "Midi Effect" 'aumi' .
I am working on a super mini AU host and I would like to include the Midi
Effects into the single AUGraph.
I am having quiet a problem incorporating the Midi Effects into AUGraph as
there is currently no information or any sample code of how the 'aumi'
should be constructed as from Audio Unit part and neither how hosts should
incorporate the 'aumi' into AUGraph.
At this point in time, AUs of type ‘aumi’ are not supported in the AUGraph. We have bug reports tracking this.
The 'aumi' is a construct from the Logic team -- we are working on getting a sample project together showing the usage of this AU. Doing so requires updates to the Core Audio Utility files with changes to AUBase and a new MIDI only base class all of which we are also tracking via bug reports.
