Hi,

I have an EDIROL FA-101 and I have the same problem. I have reported this problem just after updating to Mavericks and I have been fooled around on this list. This problems seems to affect mostly firewire sound cards.

After googling about this I find a lot of people complaining about the same. I also hear about Fusion drives and a problem related with Core Storage. In my case I have a hybrid hard drive from Seagate with 8Gb SSD cache. This shouldn't be a problem at all.

I'm really upset with this as I have upgraded to Mavericks on October and we are on February and Apple haven't provided a fix.

I have an usable professional sound card for 5 months now. Considering downgrading to Montain Lion. I haven't done it so because that will probably bring me some trouble with iTunes and iPhoto libraries upgrade.

Regards,

Nuno

I’ve submitted a bug report, (16020410)   but I wanted to post here in case anyone is listening or others have experienced this.

I have a late 2013 iMac with a fusion drive and am using a MOTU 828mk3 as an audio interface.  I get intermittent noises and glitches every time I use the interface using either USB or firewire->thunderbolt.  The device of course works fine with my MacBook Pro.

According to my online research, this is something that is happening on machines with fusion drives.

Is this a known bug?  Any fixes?

BK
