Can you set the volume to over 1?

Hey guys,

I’m currently using some MatrixMixers to mix my AudioUnits and HAL input together.

kMatrixMixerParam_Volume is able to set its volume from 0-1 and thats fine. if I put in via sound card a 0 db level and my matrix mixer is set to volume:1 I get 0 db out. That works fine. But I want to be able to archive for example +6db when I put 0db in. Logic seems to be able to do that. But how? Are there some parameters that I can set to boost the loudness or is there any way to get this except fiddling with the audio buffers themselves to calculate them louder (which is not a route I wanna go with)

Thanks guys.
