Does anyone know why AU Sampler is not included in the October 2013 Audio tools anymore?

Is AU Sampler not supported anymore? bug?

It's available in AU Lab 2.2.1 (July 2012) 
(Edit -> Add Audio Unit Instrument -> [Apple] -> AU Sampler)
