In iOS, AudioUnits seem to use kAudioFormatFlagsAudioUnitCanonical, which is defined as:
kAudioFormatFlagIsSignedInteger | kAudioFormatFlagsNativeEndian | kAudioFormatFlagIsPacked | kAudioFormatFlagIsNonInterleaved | (kAudioUnitSampleFractionBits << kLinearPCMFormatFlagsSampleFractionShift)
Which is 8.24 signed integers, non-interleaved.
