outCurrentSampleInTimeLine confusion

  • Subject: outCurrentSampleInTimeLine confusion

Hello,

I am developing an iOS app using Core Audio and am wanting to implement Inter-App Audio.
All the examples I can find show usage with an AUAudioFilePlayer Audio Unit and therefore get the “outCurrentSampleInTimeLine” using “kAudioUnitProperty_CurrentPlayTime”. How do I provide a value for “outCurrentSampleInTimeLine” if I am not using an AUAudioFilePlayer and I just want to inform the node app how long it has been connected?

Also, if the host doesn’t support playing, can I somehow inform the node app to not show the record button / disable the record button?

Thanks,

Anthony
