thanks to you all.
The problem still isn't really solved. But it's got something to do with
permissions and inexistent folders.
/Library/Audio/Presets/ and ~/Library/Audio/Presets/ don't exist in a
freshly installed Yosemite. Didn't the preceding OSX installers create them?
Cheers,
Thomas

Hi Lisa,
I don't understand: "Capabilities section of your Target". How do I find
it?

In OSX, you have to actually have to turn sandboxing on. You do that
under the Capabilities section of your Target. If it is sandboxed, you
do not have access to Library/Audio/Presets without specifying an
entitlement. You can do that in the same section by checking Music
Folder under File Access. Allowing reading and/or writing to the Music
Folder not only gives you access to the Music Folder of the user, but
also other music related folders such as Library/Audio/Presets.
If you try to read/write to Library/Audio/Presets and the folder doesn't
exist, it will throw an error.
This is the way it is for Mavericks. I don't believe they made any
changes to this in Yosemite.
