Logic delay compensation weirdness

  • Subject: Logic delay compensation weirdness

Hi,

I've notice an odd behavior with Logic's delay compensation (both 9 & X): certain latencies are not correctly compensated for and are off by one. For example, a latency of 15 samples at 44.1k seems to actually get compensated by only 14 samples in Logic. Other hosts (like Ableton Live) do not seem to have this problem. Does anyone know what might be happening? Are odd numbered sample latencies generally to be avoided?

Thanks,
Devin
