High CPU audio drops?

  • Subject: High CPU audio drops?

Hey all

Does it sound plausible that a sudden spike in CPU could cause audio to stutter & drop?

(We're having intermittent audio drops on a few Macs, with 'IOAudioStream[]::clipIfNecessary() - Error: counted 1 clip more than one buffer ahead errors.' printed around the same time- there happens to be a lot of SSH brute forces on the same Macs, so I pondered if the short spike of SSH-attempts might be triggering it)

(Festive) thanks in advance

Michael
