audiograph remoteIO low volume with speaker on iphone

Hi,

I am using am audiograph terminating with the remoteIO (kAudioUnitSubType_RemoteIO).

Volume output through headphones and on various ipads and non-iphone devices is as expected. However, on iphones the speaker output is extremely low.

I have seen other developer references to this issue, but no solutions.

Is there an alternate output AU or a way to access the actual hardware output levels?
