Well, the customer says he is using admin account.

Anyway as for me, anything that breaks backward compatibility is just wrong. But let's face it, Apple never cared, so... :)

I think the whole rootless thing is yet another idiotic step by Apple...

No, it’s actually a very practical extra layer of defense against real-world exploits that can gain root access. But this is not the right list to be arguing about that.
