The app I'm working on is an audio editor. It supports 32 or 64 bit files natively.

If I install an app that let me open 64bit files natively, and I run them through a 64bit-capable effect... it doesn't matter that the difference is completely imperceptible. I don't want to throw away the user's data without a good reason.
Anyhow, it's okay. I'll just check if setting the ASBD to 64 bit throws an error. I just need to see if it's supported, so it should work.
