Sorry about that, bad assumption on my part.  I noticed that I am going to have a similar issue when I move to Swift 3.
 MusicTrackGetProperty is defined the same way.  If you figure it out please post.  I tried quite a few things and it seems to me that the “nullable" parameter should have been an optional like most of the other Swift API changes.  I am trying but I see no way to force a non-optional parameter to be nil. I either get a compile time error or the runtime error as you described.
