Is 'bash' REALLY the default shell in 10.3 (Panther)? My 10.3 iMac
defaults to the 'tcsh' shell. But all your documentation, and all the
third-part books, say it should be 'bash'. Did you change your minds,
or is this because my iMac was originally sold with 10.2 installed and
was later upgraded to 10.3? (I never used Terminal until after the 10.3
upgrade, and I have never changed the shell.)
"Default shell" is the shell that newly created users get. If you
created your account on 10.2 and didn't change it, you have the default
shell from that OS version. Run "chsh" or Netinfo Manager.app if you
want to change it.
