ftruncate and POSIX shared memory problem

We are parting code from Linux that use POSIX shared memory. On OSX it seems that ftruncate only works *once* for newly created shared memory segments.

But the standard says that it ftruncate should be usable in any condition :

Is the OSX implementation buggy ? Will it be corrected in future versions of the system?
