Actually, I did manage to build by downloading the samba release (3.0.5) from the Darwin sources and then applying the patches that are applied to the standard 3.0.5 distribution to the 3.0.8 distribution.

Disable kerberos support if you don't need it. That should bypass
those errors in the krb5 lib.
