IOPMSchedulePowerEvent kIOReturnNotReady

hello,
i don't know if this post belongs to cocoa, but i'm using it with a cocoa app.

i have had a working function that saved a starting time and date with IOPMSchedulePowerEvent to power the machine on,
but don't know why, now i get always the error kIOReturnNotReady (0x2d8) - what does it mean ?
and why do i get it ?

any help would be great!
(please excuse my bad english ...)
