Hi,

I am using the uuid_generate function in my application and when it is run on 10.3.9, the following error occurs.

undefined reference to _uuid_generate expected to be defined in /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib

The Darwin man page for the function seems to imply that the function is part of the e2fsprogs package. As I understand it, the e2fsprogs is not part of pre-Tiger OS X. Is this function not available before Tiger, or do I have to change what I am linking with to make this run under pre-Tiger? I am developing on 10.4.3.
