kern.file in panther

  • Subject: kern.file in panther

I am trying to get a list of open file handles from the kernel, and it
appears that pre-panther the way to do this is by using sysctl on
"kern.file". However, the call in my program is returning an empty
list, and "pstat -f" also has nothing listed.

Has this functionality been removed? And if so, is there an equivalent
replacement? The only other reference I could find to this was at
http://lists.apple.com/archives/darwin-kernel/2004/Mar/msg00034.html,
but no one ever answered his question.
