whoa. you're right. catches the ping activity just fine.

why would the router not be sending advertisements? it's a requirement for routers, as i understand it.

For that, you will have to check with either the router manufacturer or the admin of the network wherein it lives :-}


Did you verify that you aren't seeing advertisements?
