Building projects like passwordserver_sasl-59.2 require it.


It would be tremendously helpful if you could include an error message that you're getting, or otherwise let us know which file is needed.



If you build the DarwinOpenSource project you get this tree, but if you build it, it overwrites installed software, I can't have this.


You should be setting your DSTROOT environment variable to control where the build products are written. I suggest trying darwinbuild, as this will set up the proper build environment: <http:// darwinsource.opendarwin.org/darwinbuild/>.
