This is something best discussed on the darwinbuild list.

The darwinbuild list appears to be an inappropriate venue for the
issue.
What makes you say that?
They didn't write the software.
What are you talking about? darwinbuild is an OpenDarwin project,
written almost entirely by Kevin van Vechten and Shantonu Sen.
OK so when they ask me questions about the problem I'll have answers
so why are you opening your pie-hole???
Writing to the list does not mean a bug has been filed or will be
filed. If you would like your issue to be remembered and tracked,
file
a bug.
I see so in filing a report, someone will immediately resolve the
issue and provide a working solution.
Please explain why you believe that to be a valid interpretation of
what I wrote.
Explain to me why I should waste my time filing a bug report?
Because the software doesn't work properly I am unable to build
useable software and am now waiting for someone to create 0.7.3 that
works.
Your attitude is not helping you achieve this goal.
I achieved my goal, all I'm doing is letting everyone here know there
is a serious flaw in darwinbuild, if you want help fixing it no
problem, I have resources and time.
You're expecting me to do more than inform the group that a problem
exists, why, I owe the group or the software nothing, it hasn't
helped me in any way but waste my time trying to build software when
it is definitely incapable of the simple feat that it's intended to
perform.
My attitude is this, if you are not directly related to the
programming, development or fixing of bugs or, know what the problem
is and know what the solution is then you're barking up the wrong
tree by responding and your belief that anything you could contribute
to this thread would ever be useful is misguided at best.
